He approved it immediately, and began playing each song one at a time. "i'm not a very good singer, " he said, "but I'm a very good guitarist. " he played on, and off the stage for the first few sets. The set started with "theammad, " one of the faster and more intense songs on the album, and continued with hooker's "the dusk of our life, " a standard that keen has cited as one of his favorite songs. "the dusk of our life" is also the only song keen to have recorded and stage played. The all-american file song of the year, keen announced, will be his next album.
